THE St Enoch Centre will host a pop-up shop this weekend to help spread the magic of Christmas to local children in need.
The event is being organised by Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas which donates gifts to children affected by hardship in Glasgow and the surrounding areas each year, ensuring no child goes without on Christmas Day.
Earlier this year, it was reported that 32% of children in the city live in relative poverty, a figure significantly higher than the Scotland average of 24%.
The charity shop pop-up will take place from Friday, December 8 until Sunday, December 10, featuring high-street clothing brands including Topshop, Wallis and Miss Selfridge.

There will also be jewellery, bags and shoes on offer at reduced prices, with every purchase going directly towards the charity.
Julie Griffin, founder of Glasgow’s Spirit of Christmas said: "We are extremely thankful to St. Enoch Centre for providing us with the space to host this event, and for their incredible fundraising efforts.
"So far this year, we have raised enough donations to give 13,591 children in Glasgow a Christmas gift.
"We are hoping that, through the pop-up shop at St Enoch Centre, we can support the charity and it’s aims of reaching over 19,000 children.
"With the support and generosity of Glasgow shoppers, we are sure we can get there."

George Reader, St. Enoch centre’s director, added: "St. Enoch Centre has a long-standing relationship with the remarkable charity, Glasgow’s Spirit of Christmas, and we are delighted to be supporting them in this new initiative to raise even more funds for such an important cause.
"We encourage anyone who can to visit the pop-up store between December 8-10 - you never know what treasures you might discover."
Glasgow's Spirit of of Christmas charity pop-up shop will be open between 10am and 5pm on the first floor of the shopping centre, from December 8 to 10.
The event is taking place alongside St Enoch Centre's Meet Santa experience, the ticket sales of which are also going towards Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas.
