Scotrail has issued a warning after trespassers threatened Glasgow services this afternoon.
The travel company has alerted customers that journeys between Dalmuir and Motherwell may be cancelled, delayed, or altered.
It comes after intruders accessed restricted areas causing routes to be affected as a result.
Passengers are being urged to make alternative arrangements or prepare for disruptions.
Investigations are continuing into the incident which is currently ongoing.
Scotrail posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying: “NEW: Due to trespassers on the railway, services between Dalmuir and Motherwell may be cancelled, delayed or altered.”
The Glasgow Times has contacted the British Transport Police for comment.
