Whether you're looking for a wee dram in a cosy Victorian pub or some creative cocktails in an atmospheric bar, Glasgow certainly has a brilliant choice of drinking spots.

But many of our favourite places are changing hands or in the process of a new chapter, as they have been put on the market ready for a new owner or team to take over and keep customers satisfied.

Here are some of the pubs for sale in Glasgow.

Park Bar

Glasgow Times:

This Finnieston institution is on the market after stalwart landlady Nina Steele announced she was stepping down after 30 years.

As she bid an emotional farewell to the Victorian-era bar, Nina told our sister title The Herald: “It has been a privilege to run The Park Bar over the last 30-odd years.

"The Park plays a special role not only in the local community but also within Gaeldom and with followers of traditional ceilidh music.

"Thank you to all our fantastic customers, we have made many friends from all over the world.”

The Gartocher

Glasgow Times:

This East End boozer is famed for its Art Deco design and dates back to 1937.

It entered the market last month and features a public bar, lounge bar and a function room.

Located on Shettleston Road, the Gartocher is a bargain at £10,000 - will you be the one to take the reins?

MacKinnon's Bar and Lounge

Glasgow Times:

This established city pub has been going for so long, that it has become a cemented feature of the Gallowgate.

Mackinnon's was run by the previous owners for 36 years and is a rare find in Glasgow as one of the only pubs to benefit from an 8am alcohol licence.

Just a short walk away from both the city centre and East End, the bar is popular with Celtic fans going to and from nearby Parkhead, so a new owner could certainly take advantage of football footfall.

Dram!

Glasgow Times:

Dotted in amongst a host of drinking spots and eateries on Woodlands Road, Dram! is an established part of the West End drinking circuit.

With its rustic interior, tartan bunting and authentic wooden booths, Dram! prides itself on being a pub that celebrates Scottishness and serves locally produced beer as well as - the clue is in the name - whisky.

West Side Tavern

Glasgow Times:

Just a stone's throw from Kelvinhall Subway station, The West Side Tavern opened in December 2022 and promised to bring something a little different to Glasgow.

With an Italian-American 'diner' theme, the Tavern features a neon buzzing sign, wooden panels and wall art reminiscent of New York City dive bars you could picture Robert De Niro sitting in.

Owner Joshua Barr told the Glasgow Times: “The inspiration comes from movie nostalgia with 1970s-inspired fixtures and fittings.

“It’s a mash-up of all my inspiration and I like that it’s like the kind of bars that I love. The traditional bars and taverns of old New York.

“I think it’s coming around again, this mid-century, seventies sort of style. It’s become cool again for a lot of people.”

The sale of West Side Tavern is being handled by chartered surveyor Shepherd.

The Laurieston

Glasgow Times: Laurieston

We can't go through a rundown of the city pubs on the market without mentioning one of Glasgow's most famous and a firm favourite.

The Laurieston has gone up for sale after the devoted Clancy family decided to pass the baton following 40 years behind the bar.

Known for its 1960s interior, The Bridge Street boozer has remained virtually unchanged since that era and features authentic panelled walls, a generous island bar and old posters on the walls.

We hope whoever takes over preserves the kitschy 60s atmosphere and decor!
