TWO men have been arrested after allegedly running away from cops in Renfrewshire this morning.
It comes after officers tried to stop a motor on the M8 at Arkleston at around 9.15am on Thursday, December 7.
Following that, the two men, who were in the vehicle, then made off on foot.
However, shortly after, the pair were traced close to Arkleston Cemetery near Renfrew.
Now, the duo have been arrested while an investigation is underway.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "The occupants of a vehicle made off on foot after being requested to stop by officers on the M8 at Arkleston around 9.15am on Thursday, December 7.
"The occupants were then traced close to Arkleston Cemetery near Renfrew a short time later.
"Two men have been arrested, with enquiries ongoing."
