PEOPLE across Glasgow are being encouraged to donate to the Glasgow Times' Toy Appeal as Christmas Day fast approaches.
Over the past few weeks, we have been calling on our readers to donate to local food banks across the city as part of our annual Bank On Us campaign.
As well as this, a GoFundMe page was set up to help raise cash to purchase Christmas gifts, with more than £1200 having been donated so far.
Scottish entrepreneur John McGlynn, who runs our partner Storage Vault, has vowed to match donations to the Glasgow Times Toy Bank appeal.

Last year, the campaign brought in around £15,000 and delivered around 100,000 gifts to our most vulnerable children.
This year we are back to support families at Christmas by aiming for every child in Glasgow to open a present on December 25 and we aim to add to our donations and raise enough money to buy 500 toys for children in cancer wards throughout Scotland.
We are hoping for our readers, nurseries, schools, and businesses to get behind the campaign by donating.
All proceeds will be used to purchase toys which will be distributed to charities around the city to be handed out to parents and put under the tree to be opened on Christmas Day.

Stacey Mullen, editor of the Glasgow Times, said: "With less than two weeks to go until Christmas, we are appealing for last-minute donations to our toy drive fund.
"We believe no child in this city should wake up without a gift this Christmas and although times are tough during this cost-of-living crisis, we are hugely appreciative of the generosity from readers so far.
"We also want to thank all our readers who have helped stock food banks across the city so far as many families struggle to put food on the table this winter.
"The greatest thing about editing this newspaper is knowing that us Glaswegians all look out for each other, and doing this campaign really proves that every single year.
"So thank you for the bottom of our hearts for helping us with Bank on Us."
The Bank on Us 2023 campaign is proudly sponsored by Arnold Clark, Stagecoach, Allied Vehicles, Spar Scotland, Storage Vault and StepChange.
