FILM fans can take a trip to the North Pole with a pyjama party showing of The Polar Express. 

Showcase Cinema will be hosting the special screenings of the beloved Christmas classic on Saturday, December 16. 

Guests will be able to snuggle up in their PJs as they enjoy the 2004 animated feature and will receive a free hot chocolate on arrival and a commemorative train ticket.

Jon Dixon, Showcase Cinemas UK marketing director, said: "We are beyond excited to welcome guests to our Polar Express pyjama parties this weekend.

"The film has become a real holiday favourite over the years, and it embodies everything magical about the festive period.

"We’re inviting guests to get cosy in their pyjamas for this one, just like they would at home, with all cinemagoers receiving a hot chocolate for the screening as well as their very own commemorative train ticket.

"The response has been phenomenal with several screenings already selling out, so we have added extra shows to meet the demand for this exclusive event."

Set on Christmas Eve, The Polar Express stars Tom Hanks in a multitude of roles and tells the story of a young boy who boards a mysterious train filled with children on a journey to visit Santa Claus preparing for the big day.
