A dog has died and two people are in hospital following an incident in Glasgow.
Emergency crews were alerted to Luath Street in the city's Govan on Saturday afternoon following an attack involving weapons.
Local reports told of a heavy police presence in the area at the time.
Two men, aged 37 and 38, were rushed to hospital by paramedics.
A dog became injured in the attack and was taken to a vet.
It died shortly after.
Officers confirmed that they are investigating the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.15pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023 officers were called to reports of an assault on Luath Street, Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended and two men, aged 37 and 38, were taken to hospital by ambulance.
“A dog was also injured and was conveyed to a vet, where it died a short time later.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
