RESIDENTS in a Southside complex have had brand new bathrooms installed. 

Construction company CCG Scotland has completed renovations to properties in the Shawholm Crescent development in Pollokshaws as a result of a £150,000 contract. 

During October and November, 23 customer bathrooms and three common bathrooms were upgraded and redesigned to a wet floor layout.

The overhaul included new non-slip vinyl flooring, new sanitaryware and fittings and high quality waterproof Fibo wallboard in the shower area. 

Mira thermostatic controlled electric showers were also installed along with replacement anti-scald valves in hand wash basins. 

Resident Margaret McEneaney described her new bathroom as "lovely and bright". 

Glasgow Times:

Ruth Black, Trust housing care worker, said: "Generally feedback has been positive from family members regarding the bathroom upgrades.

"The CCG supervisor Chris Brennan was very helpful and considerate to our customer’s needs."

Bernard Dong, Trust housing care worker, added: "The bathroom design provides easy access for personal care and the new extract fans are low noise."

CCG is working on behalf of Trust in Govan to deliver a new-build affordable housing development. 

Located on Langlands Road, the complex which is for tenants over the age of 55 will provide 46 flats and is set to be completed in 2024.
