RESIDENTS in Stepps are being invited to enjoy a magical festive trail as part of the Most Sparkling Street competition.
Stepps Community Development Trust created the map after encouraging residents to enter their street in the competition.
Ailsa Macdonald, secretary, says they decided to organise the map to spread a bit of festive cheer among the community, especially as there are now less public Christmas lights than in previous years.

She explained: "As an organisation we had started to look at the potential cost of putting a Christmas tree up a the park entrance near the shop but the cost was going to be exorbitant so it was really prohibitive.
"We know in many instances lots of streets do get into putting up their own decorations so we thought we could use that as a talking point between neighbours to get together [and enter their street]."
Its hoped the map will provide a low-cost way for families to get into the Christmas spirit as they travel round the town to see the displays.
Ailsa said: "When it's so dark and yucky outside it will add a wee bit of of brightness and lightness.
"A lot of people have said it's a good idea."
The streets will take around an hour and a half to get around in total.
Ailsa says they had support from Clyde Valley Housing Association who helped them set up QR codes and cover the cost of printing so maps could be send out to local businesses and schools.
Voting for Stepps Most Sparkling Street 2023 competition will close on Friday, December 22, though residents will still be able to enjoy the displays after this date.
