A MAN has died after being hit by a lorry in Blantyre.
We previously reported the 84-year-old was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the incident on Glasgow Road.
Cops had been called to the scene at around 5.55pm on Tuesday, December 19 following a report of a crash involving a white Isuzu Grafter Flatbed and a pedestrian.
They have now confirmed the man died on Wednesday, December 20.

The 53-year-old driver of the vehicle was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and released pending further enquiries.
Police are now appealing for anyone who saw the incident to come forward.
Sergeant Gemma Blackadder said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
"Our enquiries into this collision are ongoing, and I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the crash to please contact us.
"I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area and who may have dash-cam footage which could assist us to get in touch."

Glasgow Road was closed for around five hours on Tuesday night to allow investigations to take place and reopened around 11.05pm.
