SHOCKING images show the extent of flooding that forced a train station near Glasgow to close.
We previously reported that Bowling railway station had closed earlier today due to 'very deep' flooding making it unsafe to run trains through the area.
Exclusive images taken by our photographer show the scale of the issue with water levels almost reaching the platforms.
Rail bosses said that engineers were on their way to the station this afternoon to carry out further inspections.
The line remains closed.
The closure follows a day of travel chaos amid Storm Gerrit.
