A mystery winner has claimed an incredible £1,000,000 winning EuroMillions ticket.
We previously reported that the National Lottery was on the hunt for the mystery winner of a ticket that was bought somewhere in North Lanarkshire on October 31, 2023.
Now the operator has confirmed that they have received a claim and that they will now carry out checks to confirm that the claim is valid.
Subject to validation, the prize will then be paid at an appointment with a winner’s adviser.
Once the ticket has been validated and paid, the winner will then decide whether or not to go public and reveal their win to the world.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “We are absolutely delighted that this lucky ticket-holder has come forward and claimed their prize, what a way to start 2024 - just imagine the possibilities for them this year!
“It’s now our job to support the ticket-holder through the process - we support each and every National Lottery winner in the same way - and we will do this as quickly as possible to ensure they can very soon begin to enjoy their life-changing win.”
