The King's Theatre has teamed up with the Glasgow Times to give one lucky reader the chance to win four tickets to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - The Musical.
The incredible show will be at the Bath Street theatre from January 23 to February 4, and you and your family as our lucky winner could attend the press night on Wednesday, January 24 at 7pm.
On the night, you will be treated to interval drinks and you will also be given a programme for the show.
If you are lucky enough to win this competition you will get to see Gareth Snook in action as Willy Wonka while Charlie Bucket will be played by Haydn Court, George Hamblin, Harmony-Raine Riley, Isaac Sugden and Scottish actress Jessie-Lou Harvie from Blantyre.
When Charlie wins a golden ticket to the weird and wonderful Wonka Chocolate Factory, it’s a chance of a lifetime to feast on the sweets they’ve always dreamed of. But beyond the gates astonishment awaits, as down the sugary corridors and amongst the incredible and edible delights, the five lucky winners discover not everything is as sweet as it seems!
James Brining, Leeds Playhouse Artistic Director, said: “We’re thrilled to have assembled such a fantastic cast and creative team for this new version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – The Musical for the UK tour. They are an exciting company that includes some brilliant fresh faces and rising stars with some hugely talented and experienced artists.”
“I am really looking forward to working with them all in creating the world of this production. It is such a special story, loved by many generations, and we’re seeking to create a joyful, spectacular production for all. It’s a real privilege to have the opportunity to revisit the successful West End and Broadway versions and create a new production for audiences on tour.”
The show will run from Tuesday 23 January to Sunday 4 February. From Tuesday to Saturday the evening show time is 7.00pm, while there are 1pm matinees on Thursdays and 2pm matinees on Saturdays and Sundays.
