A faulty manhole on a busy road in Clydebank will be investigated, the council has confirmed.
It comes after Scottish Water (SW) said there “appeared to be an issue” with the road drain which is located on Glasgow Road near Clydebank and District Golf Club.
The drain is however not within SW’s infrastructure and the issue was therefore passed over to West Dunbartonshire Council (WDC).
A spokesperson for the local authority told the Glasgow Times that officers will attend to inspect the site and investigate the cause of the leak.
Repair work will then be carried out where necessary.
A WDC spokesperson said: “Officers will attend to inspect the site and investigate the cause of the leak.
“The appropriate remedial work will be carried out as required.”
