An East Renfrewshire man said he had cannabis to "give to friends while watching football".
Brad Smith, 26, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court this week after he pleaded guilty to having the class B drug with intent to supply.
Smith, of Thornliebank, was found with nine bags of the substance at a Garscube Road address in North Glasgow on July 14, 2022.
These were later measured to weigh two grams each.

His lawyer said: "He was going to give it to his friends while they were watching football.
"He is working in Drumchapel."
Sheriff Allan McKay said: "Given the low value, I am offering you an alternative to custody. I could send you to jail."
Smith was tagged, which will require him to stay at his home between 9pm and 6am every day for 90 days.
