Residents in the city's Southside are being warned to expect “discoloured water” after a pipe burst.
Those living in G43, which includes Croftfoot, Pollok and Priesthill, are also preparing for “no water supply” and “low pressure” as technicians race to repair the damage.
Scottish Water confirmed the broken water main is “affecting supplies” in the G43 area this morning.
They have urged anyone requiring support to get in touch and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
Scottish Water posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “We have located a burst water main affecting supplies in #G43 #Glasgow.
“Technicians are on their way to effect a repair.
“Apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
Scottish Water posted on their website: “We have now identified the cause of the interruption to water supply affecting customers in the G43 area of Glasgow.
“A team is now preparing to carry out the repair and start to return supplies to normal.
“Please be aware that you may experience no water supply or low / intermittent water pressure. You may also experience discoloured water.
“If you require additional support, please use this link to sign up as a Priority Services Customer.
“If you have experienced flooding due to this incident and need support, please call us on 0800 0778 778 or via one of the other methods on our contact us page.”
