A BUSY road in Renfrew is set to reopen following emergency repair works.
Ferry Road in the town will reopen at around 6pm tonight (Friday, January 19), following the completion of urgent repair works on a 700mm rising sewer main between Renfrew and Shieldhall in Glasgow.
A burst occurred on Ferry Road on Friday, January 5, near to its junction with Campbell Street.
Due to the extent of the damage to the roadway, a short stretch of the road had to be closed at its junction with Campbell Street and King's Inch Road.
The damaged section of the pipe was removed and replaced, and teams have since worked to complete the reinstatement work to get the road re-opened.
