SPEED restrictions will be imposed on some trains travelling to and from Glasgow due to forecasted adverse weather.
Network Rail has confirmed trains travelling between Glasgow Central and Stranrear/ Carlisle via Kilmarnock and Dumfries will be affected and journey times may be extended.
The restrictions will be in place from midnight until around 2.50pm on Sunday, January 21.
The restrictions may change depending on the weather.
It comes after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for rain from 5pm until midnight in Dumfries and Galloway and the western Borders.
ScotRail has advised all passengers should check their journey ahead of travelling.
A further speed restriction will be in place on the line that runs between Glasgow Central - Stranraer/Carlisle via Kilmarnock & Dumfries (Near Sanqhuar) from midnight until around 1450 tomorrow.
