GLASGOW City Council has given an update on whether schools will close following Storm Isha after concerns from worried parents.
The storm tore through the UK overnight, bringing warnings of possible tornadoes and danger-to-life winds.
An amber weather warning for wind was in place across the Glasgow from 6pm yesterday until 6am this morning, and a yellow weather warning remains in place until 12pm.

Parents took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to ask the council if schools will be open.
One person wrote: "Will you please update us ASAP about whether schools are open today or not?"
Another said: "Are the schools opening today or are the shut due to weather warning?"
Glasgow City Council has now confirmed all schools are open as normal unless stated otherwise.
A spokesperson for the council wrote on X: "We had lot of messages last night asking if schools are open today due to the high winds.
"All our schools are open as normal unless we tell you otherwise."
It is understood Carmunnock Primary School is the only school that will be closed due to storm damage to the roof.
Families of those attending the school have been contacted directly.
