Scottish hospitality group Manorview announced that it is sharing more than a quarter million pounds of its profits with its staff.

The independent Scottish group, who operate 12 venues across central Scotland, said the bonus will be shared through their Heartcount scheme where those with more than a year’s service are eligible for a share of 10% of the net profits.

During the announcement at The Arches in Glasgow, David Tracey, managing director at Manorview, said: "Fairness is at the heart of our decisions.

"Every person in every role across our business impacts our success, so it’s right that profit is shared in a fair way.

"The calculation process ultimately means that it doesn’t matter whether someone is a Kitchen Porter, Bar Team, Wedding Sales Manager, General Manager, Housekeeper or Director – if they’ve worked the same hours, they get the same profit share."

Hotels run by the group include the Bowfield Hotel & Spa in Howwood, The Busby Hotel in Clarkston, The Redhurst Hotel in Giffnock and The Tarbet Hotel in Loch Lomond.

Staff will receive their share of the Heartcount scheme in their February pay.
