Star of BBC's Peaky Blinders Paul Anderson has reportedly pleaded guilty after being found being with crack cocaine. 

The actor is most known for his role as Arthur Shelby in the period crime show, starring alongside Cillian Murphy.

Appearing in court on Thursday, January 26, Anderson was caught by police with a Class A drug and pipe for smoking, reports MailOnline.

The Peaky Blinders star admitted to possessing the Class A drug along with a Class B amphetamines and two Class C prescription substances.

Anderson was found with the substances after a visit to a local pub in Hampstead, London.

The manager reported that he smelt crack cocaine from the disabled toiler after the actor left them.

Prosecutors shared that Anderson was later taken to a police station where they found crack cocaine and other amphetamines in his possession.

During his interview, the Peaky Blinders star answered 'no comment' to all questions, and it's since been reported that he later tested positive for opiates and cocaine instead of crack cocaine.

Anderson pleaded guilty to all four drug charges after appearing in Magistrates Court.

The actor's lawyer shared that Anderson often 'slips into' his Peaky Blinders character, Arthur Shelby, sharing: "You will recognise the defendant from a very intense part that he has played in a recent television programme.

"He is often recognised and does his best to please fans of the show by slipping into character.

"He was recognised that Boxing Day and tried to play up for these people.

"And because of the lifestyle he leads people often give him inducements."

Anderson's lawyer went on to add: "‘He has found himself in an unfortunate position and should have had the strength to say no."

The Peaky Blinders star was fined £1,345 after appearing at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 25 January.

Discussing Anderson's the Met Police shared a statement to the Metro, saying: "Police were called at about 18:30hrs on 26 December 2023 to West End Lane in Camden. Officers attended and arrested a man.

"Paul Anderson, 48 (12.02.75) 48, of West Hampstead, was later charged with two counts of possession of Class A drugs and two counts of possession of Class C drugs.

"He appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 25 January."
