Glasgow's King’s Theatre has announced the full line-up for the Grease musical that will take place in June.

Directed by Nikolai Foster and choreographed by Arlene Phillips, the casts include Marley Fenton (Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends, Gielgud Theatre) who will play Danny, Hope Dawe (Mountview graduate) who will play Sandy, and Scottish actor Kieran Lynch who will play Doody.

Other cast members include Rebecca Stenhouse as Rizzo, George Michaelides as Kenickie, Lewis Day as Roger, Sario Solomon as Sonny, and Alicia Belgarde as Frenchy.

In addition to the Gielgud Theatre, Fenton has graced the stage at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre, earning his stripes in the lead role of Peter Pan for Capital Theatres.

Glasgow Times: The two hour 30 minute show starts at 2:30pm on Thursday and Saturday, and at 7:30pm on other days

Michaelides is known for his role in Disney’s Newsies at Wembley Park Troubadour Theatre, Day played at Cast Theatre Doncaster in Beauty and the Beast, while Solomon appeared in Pacific Overtures at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

Additional casting includes performances from Jayd’n Tyrone, Phoebe Roberts, Dominique Planter, Joe Gash, Deena Kapadia, and Adam Davidson.

The ensemble is completed by Zera Aitken, Dylan Gordon-Jones, Sergi Ibanez, Thomas Inge, Lauren Hampton, Imogen Malone, Ben Middleton and Carly Miles.

Grease was first performed in 1971 in Chicago before making headlines on Broadway and West End.

It has been seen by over 500,000 people in the West End.

The musical has played host to several artists including Peter Gallagher, Patrick Swayze,  John Travolta and Richard Gere.

The June staging of Grease in Glasgow has a team of professionals from a multi-departmental design team to producers Frankel/Viertel/Baruch/Routh Group, Playing Field and Curve.
