East Dunbartonshire residents are being asked to give their views on the council's plan to deliver an active travel route between Torrance and Milngavie.
The A807 Active Travel Corridor would see an improved walking, wheeling and cycling connection between the two areas – from Milngavie Railway Station to the Torrance Roundabout.
Residents are invited to share their opinions on the concept designs, which will be open for public consultation until March 3.
The project is part of the Local Transport Strategy 2020-2025 which aims to introduce a full-scale active travel route connecting the majority of the settlements in East Dunbartonshire.
Councillor Paul Ferretti, convener of East Dunbartonshire Council’s Place, Neighbourhood and Corporate Assets Committee, said: "We want to increase the number of active travel journeys in the area by making it safer and more enjoyable to travel by walking, wheeling and cycling between Torrance and Milngavie.
"As part of this, we are looking at improving pedestrian connectivity within the villages, including proposals for signalised pedestrian crossing points, and providing onward connections to Bearsden, Bishopbriggs and beyond.
"Concept designs have now been produced which showcase the proposed improvements across the area and we want the views of local communities and users of the route on the proposals.
"These are only proposals at this stage as the final designs will be subject to change depending on a number of factors."
After noticing a gap for east-west connections during a feasibility study in 2022, the council, backed by Transport Scotland and Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT), commissioned Sweco to draft designs for the corridor project.
Public drop-in events have been organised in February to enable locals to engage with the team behind the proposals.
Residents can make their voices heard on February 13 at the Milngavie Town Hall between 3.30pm to 7.30pm, February 15 at the Torrance Community Centre from 3.30pm-7.30pm, or February 21 at the Balmore Golf Club, also 3.30pm-7.30pm.
For the local business community, specific sessions have been scheduled on February 20 at the Milngavie Town Hall between 6pm-7.30pm, February 29 at the Torrance Community Centre 6pm-7.30pm, and an online-only session on February 28 from 12.30pm-2pm.
