A disturbance on a busy street sparked a huge police response in East Kilbride.
The incident took place on Montgomery Street in the town at around 10pm on Saturday evening.
Reports on social media claimed there were 'police everywhere' near two popular bars.
The force confirmed that they had been called to a disturbance in the area.
A man and woman were slapped with warnings.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024, police were called to a report of a disturbance in Montgomery Street, East Kilbride.
“Officers attended and a man and a woman were issued with Recorded Police Warnings.”
