A man has been rushed to hospital after a 'four-vehicle smash' near Glasgow.
Officers say the incident took place at around 3.40pm on Bridge of Weir Road in Johnstone on Monday, February 12.
999 crews raced to the crash and a 77-year-old man was then taken to hospital.
The road was closed for several hours after the accident.
Following it, a 27-year-old man has been reported for alleged road traffic offences.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 3.40pm on Monday, February 12, 2024, we were called to reports of a four-vehicle crash on Bridge of Weir Road, Johnstone.
"Emergency services attended and a 77-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
"The road was closed while recovery was arranged and fully reopened around 8pm.
"A 27-year-old man is subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with road traffic offences."
