A MAN has appeared in court after alleged suspicious items were found at a property in the West End.
Shazad Khan, 50, made no plea at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
He was charged with making or possessing an explosive substance under suspicious circumstances, being in possession of a firearm, and a drug offence.
He was remanded in custody and committed for further examination.
It comes after we reported that residents had to be evacuated from their homes on Broomhill Drive following the discovery of items during a pre-planned operation.
Cops locked down the road between Dumbarton Road and Broomhill Avenue on Thursday afternoon.
The road was reopened this morning.
An emergency rest centre was set up by the council at Partick Burgh Hall for anyone evacuated from their home.
