A popular Glasgow walking trail and nature reserve has been praised for having one of the best views in the whole of Scotland in a new list compiled by The Times newspaper.
The list featured locations across the country, including well-known spots like Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh and The Law In Dundee.
The Spot, found to the south-east of the city centre, was said to have stunning views over Glasgow as well as the Campsies far to the north.
Cathkin Braes praised for having one of the best views in Scotland
Cathkin Braes in Glasgow was said to have one of the best views in the whole of Scotland with The Times praising the nature reserve's "marvellous" sights and the nearby village of Carmunnock.
The newspaper said: "An area of hills to the southern ridge of the city on the B759 from Carmunnock to Cambuslang, about 7.5 miles from the centre.
"From Carmunnock, a delightfully rural village, pick up the Cathkin Road. Cathkin Braes Golf Club lies 1.4 miles along, on the right, and the park is a further 100m along on the left.
"There are marvellous views to the north, of the Campsies, Kilpatrick Hills, Ben Lomond and even as far as Ben Ledi. It’s possible to walk on the Braes on both sides of the road.
"Find refreshment in Laura’s Coffee Shop & Tea Room in Carmunnock."
