Two pals got four massive bags of shopping for free in Cathkin.

Kelly Marie Innes, 26, and Julieann Raeburn, 31, took part in a Supermarket Sweep-style challenge at Cathkin Convenience Store on Skye Road.

They each had 60 seconds to run around the shop and fill their baskets high with the total being paid in full by Snappy Shopper on Thursday, February 22.

Alcohol and vapes were excluded from the deal.

The Cathkin store is one of many across Scotland to appear on the delivery app service which allows people to order groceries to be delivered to their homes.

Kelly Marie and Jullieann both had three figure totals by the time they made it to the till, which broke the record for the challenge in Scotland.

Jullieanne focused on filling up on cat food, laundry detergent, and washing up which brought her total to £109.17.

Meanwhile Kelly Marie targeted the sweets and treats which left her with a total of £111.63.

Julieann said: “It was nerve racking but good fun. I work for Snappy, I'm a driver and enjoy it.

“During the challenge I just forgot where everything is even though I am in here all the time.

“It was a good bit of fun though, we got loads in the baskets. I can't wait to go through it.

“I definitely recommend people download the app and try it themselves, it is a good bit of fun.”

Kelly Marie said: “My friend told me to download the app and I am glad I did.

“I don't know what I have got, lots of sweets but it was a big blur.

“I got the most expensive basket Snappy Shopper has paid for in Scotland for the competition.”
