A MAN has been rushed to hospital after an assault on a footpath.
Cops were called to the Bruntsfield Avenue area in Parkhouse at around 7.15pm yesterday following a report of an assault.
It is understood the incident took place on the path between Bruntsfield Avenue and Corselet Road.

A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital.
An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.15pm on Sunday, March 3, we were called to a report of an assault on Bruntsfield Avenue, Glasgow.
"Officers attended and a 33-year-old man was taken to hospital.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
