A major road near Glasgow has been closed due to an ongoing emergency incident.
Police have shut off Bridge of Weir Road in Renfrewshire currently due to an incident.
It is understood mercy crews, including police and firefighters, are dealing with a 'very bad accident' in the area, local residents have said.
Meanwhile, according to reports on social media there are 'lots of emergency vehicles' in the area.
Currently, it is unclear if anyone has been injured after the accident.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they are in attendance at the incident.
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
