Janey Godley appeared on the red carpet attending the world premiere of a movie about herself.
The Glasgow comedian was joined by her daughter Ashley Storrie this evening for the last day of the Glasgow FIlm Festival.
The duo were dressed to impress outside the Glasgow Film Theatre ahead of watching Janey, John Archer’s documentary about the stand up comic’s final tour following her terminal cancer diagnosis.
The film closed the Glasgow Film Festival’s 20th edition celebrating cinema in the city.
Icelandic football film The Home Game also scooped a prestigious Audience Award.
Smari Gunn and Logi Sigursveinsson’s documentary about plucky underdogs Reynir FC’s bid for Cup glory scored the highest audience score in the Award’s 10-year history.
Other films shortlisted for the Award, sponsored by MUBI, included Viggo Mortensen’s The Dead Don’t Hurt and Aylin Tezel’s Isle of Skye-shot romance Falling Into Place Glasgow Film Festival’s (GFF’s) Audience Award is sponsored by MUBI and chosen by the most important people at the festival - its audience.
The Home Game’s directors Smari Gunn and Logi Sigursveinsson said: “We are incredibly proud to receive this honour at Glasgow Film Festival.
"Being a small film from Iceland, it means so much for us to get this recognition and the opportunity to share the story of these loveable Icelandic villagers, as far and wide as possible. Everyone at GFF has been so welcoming to us and the audience reactions really blew us away.
"Huge thanks to all the people that came out, watched the film, and showed such warmth and support. Thank you Glasgow!”
