A much-loved cafe in Glasgow has announced its shock closure after a 'tough' few years.
Patricia's Coffee Bar on Victoria Road in the city's Southside took to social media to reveal the eatery would be closing its doors on Monday, March 18, at 4pm.
In the post, the venue said the past few years have 'been tough' due to 'price hikes', 'energy rises', and 'multiple flooding's'.
Now, the popular coffee bar has said they have taken the 'hard decision to close'.
It is unclear exactly why the venue is closing, however, in the post they thanked all the 'amazing staff' and customers who have supported them.
Announcing the sad news, Patricia's Coffee said: "Like all small businesses, these past few years have been tough; price hikes, energy rises and for us personally, multiple floodings.
"With the downs come the ups and we’ve also had a great time serving you all some of the best brioche buns in the city.
"That being said, we’ve had to take the hard decision to close.
"We’d like to thank all the amazing staff we’ve had and everyone who has ever visited us for the love and support they’ve shown.
"We hope you will join us for our last two days as Patricia’s serves up her last brioche bun.
"Closing tomorrow Monday, March 18, at 4pm."
"Much love - Patricia’s Kids."
Gutted punters of the venue took to the comments of the post to share their sadness at the news.
One said: "Thank you so much for giving people a place to talk about their mental health during COVID.
"Will always be thankful for that, sad to see a great part of the Southside closing down."
Another said: "Oh no, I hoped this day would never come!
"We are gutted, you are our favourite places in Glasgow and have been more than just a coffee and a mushroom roll!"
A third added: "So sad to hear this guys - absolutely loved this place."
Meanwhile, a fourth said: "Sad times indeed.
"You'll be very much missed."
