A man was filmed fighting with two youths after accusing them of “abusing pigeons”.
Video footage seen by the Glasgow Times showed the man in an altercation outside a premises on George Square in Glasgow.
He is then threatened with a chair before being charged at with a flagpole in front of horrified bystanders.
In what appears to be a desperate bid to defend himself, he punches the two youths who are then seen stumbling to the ground in shock.
They are then seen scrambling away from the scene after the man says “you were abusing pigeons”.
A Glasgow Times reporter was nearby the incident and took photographs of the aftermath.
Four police officers were seen speaking to one of the men involved yards away from where the incident took place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.55am on Tuesday, 19 March, 2024, we were called to reports of a disturbance outside a premises on George Square in Glasgow.
“There were no reports of any injuries and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
