FIREFIGHTERS have been spotted in the city centre after smoke was seen in the basement of a pub.
An eyewitness told the Glasgow Times there was smoke spotted in the basement of the Black Bull pub on High Street earlier this afternoon.
They also said there has been a power outage in the area and the traffic lights at the junction of High Street and Ingram Street are not working.
SP Energy Networks has said it is aware of a power cut currently affecting the following postcodes: G1, G11, G1 1BL, G1 1HE, G1 1HF, G1 1LH, G1 1NB, G1 1ND, G1 1NW, G1 1NY, G1 1PE, G1 1PG, G1 1RD, G1 1RU, G1 1WW, G1 4QN, G4 0AN and G4 0TQ.
It comes after we previously reported the G1 postcode area was affected by a power cut earlier this morning, though SP Energy Networks reported it has been fixed.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue service confirmed they were called to the scene at around 12.55pm.
They said there was no fire and they have now left the area.
