An 'XL-bully' that brutally attacked a man in Airdrie has been 'destroyed', police have said.
It comes after we reported officers said they were called to a report of two large bully-type dogs on the loose - with one of them attacking their owner on Strathearn Drive in the town.
Cops were alerted to the horror ordeal shortly after 4pm on Sunday, April 14.

A 45-year-old man then attended the hospital.
Police previously revealed the horror hound that caused the injuries was tracked down and seized, however, they have now confirmed it has since been put down.
Meanwhile, the other dog was on the run with cops carrying out a search to find it.
Now, the force has confirmed it has since been traced and left in the care of a family member.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 4.10pm on Sunday, April 14, 2024, police were called to a report of two large bully-type dogs loose and one of the dogs had attacked their owner on Strathearn Drive, Plains, Airdrie.
“The 45-year-old man attended University Hospital Wishaw.
“The dog who caused the injuries was seized and taken to a veterinary practice where it was destroyed.
“The other dog was traced and left in the care of a family member.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
