A LARGE emergency service response has been spotted on the River Clyde following a report of a 'body in the water'.
Police, fire crews and ambulance have all been pictured at the river this morning near to the Broomielaw in Glasgow city centre.
Cops confirmed they were called to the Clyde, near the George V Bridge, at around 9.45am this morning following a report of what is believed to be a body in the water.
Areas of the walkway on either side of the water have been cordoned off by police and the Tradeston Bridge, also known as the Squiggly Bridge, has also been taped off.
Boats have been spotted sweeping the water and a helicopter was also seen flying overhead.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.45am on Saturday, April 27, a report was made with regard to what is believed to be a body in the water near the George V Bridge.
"Police and emergency services are at the scene."
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed fire crews are also attendance.
