Sanjeev told the Glasgow Times: “It is a tragedy and frankly shocking that food banks need to exist, but sadly they do.
“It is really humbling when you come and see what they are doing here. The sad fact is more and more people are needing food banks.
“Donations have gone down, obviously we are going through a cost-of-living crisis and as generous as Scottish folk are it is getting more difficult to donate.
“I have packed a few bags and the stuff will go very quickly, they really need more donations.
“I am a D-list celebrity but if I can shine a light on an incredibly worthy cause then I will do it.
“Let's be honest I'm an attention seeker for a living but let's give this the attention it deserves, so anything I can do to help I absolutely will.”
Govan-based Glasgow South West (SW) Foodbank, is part of the Trussell Trust network and also has branches in Penilee, Cardonald, Linthouse and Priesthill.
Like many food banks across the city, the service has experienced a drop in donations as people battle the cost-of-living crisis.

Claire McCunnie has worked with Glasgow South West Foodbank for 10 years and said: “At the moment we are seeing a lot of families and pensioners.
“People who had worked their whole lives and thought they would be safe but they are not.
“This is a generation of people who are very proud and don’t want to come through your door.
“This time of year donations are down, we know everyone is going through the cost-of-living crisis but we would be delighted if you have anything you can spare.
“For us, it is about making people feel as comfortable as possible when they come here.
“We want to be a one-stop shop so they don’t feel passed about. We want to lift people up before they walk out our door.”
