A Glasgow charity is aiming to raise £20,000 at its annual ball in support of people living with breast cancer.
The 2024 Charity Heroes Masquerade Ball will take place at the Radisson Blu in aid of Breast Cancer Now.
The event on September 27 will be hosted by Go Radio presenter Gina McKie with proceeds going towards improving support for those diagnosed with secondary breast cancer.
Fiona Irvine, co-founder of Charity Heroes, said: "Our annual fundraising ball is always such a brilliant evening and we cannot wait to see everyone in their masquerade attire at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
"Expect fantastic auction and raffle prizes, all hosted by the wonderful Gina McKie.
“It can be a challenge for us to select just one cause each year to support, but choosing our 2024 partner Breast Cancer Now was an easy decision for us to make.
"The charity is particularly close to our hearts, with one of our own team members at Charity Heroes receiving support from this incredible charity."
Early bird tickets and corporate table packages are now on sale, with tickets for the former going for £45 per person, including a three-course meal, drinks on arrival, and bottles on the table.
Sarah Slaven, community fundraiser at Breast Cancer Now, said: “Every 10 minutes, someone in the UK hears the words “you have breast cancer”.
"Breast Cancer Now is working towards a future where everyone with breast cancer lives and is supported to live well - but we can’t achieve that without the help of fundraisers like Charity Heroes.
“The vital funds raised by Charity Heroes at their Masquerade Ball will help us to drive forward our life-saving research and provide support for those affected by breast cancer.
“Anyone seeking information and support for breast cancer and breast health can speak to our expert nurses by calling the charity’s free Helpline on 0808 800 6000.”
Started in 2018, Charity Heroes has raised £125,000, providing essential support to those in need, including Sepsis Research FEAT and the National Autistic Society Scotland.
