Police Scotland is hosting a recruitment event at its Jackton training centre this weekend.

The behind the scenes showcase of their policing talent will take place on June 1 from 10am to 3pm at its Force Training and Recruitment Centre on Eaglesham Road, East Kilbride.

The event (more information here) offers potential recruits a glimpse into the wide range of jobs available from police officer and support staff roles, to volunteering as a special constable.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to speak with serving police officers and police staff to find out what it is like to work for Police Scotland.

During the event, there will be demonstrations from the dog unit, mounted branch, and armed policing specialists.

Visitors can take a mock fitness assessment, discover the full recruitment and vetting process, learn about training and development opportunities, and meet with representatives from the Positive Action and Probationer Training teams.

There will also be information sessions taking place in the Lecture Theatre during the day.

The open event welcomes family, friends, and children to drop in anytime.

Limited parking is available on-site, with overflow car parks and shuttle bus service provided.

The overflow car parks are located at Redwood Avenue, Redwood Court, Orbital Court, and Redwood Nursery, all in East Kilbride.

Visitors who have parked in an overflow car park will be collected by a shuttle bus from Redwood Court to take them to the Recruitment and Training Centre.
