A GLASGOW actor and singer has landed one of the city’s most sought-after panto roles – as the villainous Captain Hook in Peter Pan.
Hannah Jarrett-Scott, who appeared in Two Doors Down and toured the UK with Pride and Prejudice (*sort of) is making her King's panto debut this Christmas.
Hannah, who lives on the Southside, joins Elaine C Smith, Johnny Mac, Darren Brownlie and Blythe Jandoo in the stellar line-up.
In a recent interview with the Glasgow Times, Hannah revealed she considered Elaine C Smith a “mentor” after meeting her on the set of sitcom Two Doors Down.
She said: ““I am a huge fan of Elaine C Smith, and she has been a great champion of me since we met on that job, which is amazing.
“She’s someone I’ve always looked up to, and she had me in stitches during filming.”
Elaine plays Mrs Smee and Johnny Mac is Smee in the festive show, which runs from November 23 to January 5.
Darren and Blythe, who are returning to The King’s for Peter Pan following panto-tastic performances in last year’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and 2022’s Beauty and the Beast, pay Tink and Wendy respectively.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of pantomime at The King’s, which has been produced by Crossroads Pantomimes, the world’s biggest pantomime producer, since 2017 with Elaine C Smith and Johnny Mac leading the festive magic.
