A MAN who told cops “F*** off, you always jail me” has been jailed.

Osman Ibrahim had been standing near a bandstand on Clyde Street at around 4.05pm on November 29, 2023.

Police on patrol at the time had reason to approach the 29-year-old.

Officers then had reason to search and take his details.

On checking Ibrahim’s details cops confirmed he was in breach of undertaking conditions.

Ibrahim had been due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court in January and was subject to the conditions that he did not enter the Glasgow city centre exclusion zone.

After he was told that he was under arrest Ibrahim began shouting and swearing towards police stating “F*** off, you always jail me, it’s a f*****g joke”.

He was held in custody to appear in court.

Ibrahim, of Springburn, appeared from custody at Glasgow Sheriff Court on May 30 after pleading guilty to failing without a reasonable excuse to comply with the undertaking condition and entering the Glasgow city centre exclusion zone.

Ibrahim also pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by shouting, swearing, and conducting himself in an aggressive manner towards police.

Both offences were committed whilst Ibrahim was on bail.

His lawyer told the court that his client’s sentencing had previously been deferred for good behaviour but that he was currently serving a 12-month sentence in prison.

The defence solicitor said: “He pleaded guilty at the first opportunity and the hearing was deferred for good behaviour but as you can see he’s not been of good behaviour.”

Sheriff Patricia Pryce jailed Ibrahim for 14 days.
