An award-winning deli-business in Renfrew has gone up for sale after closing last month.

With a fixed price of £40,000, Katie’s Kitchen on Inchinnan Road is looking for a buyer.

Being offered for sale is the established business with all fixtures and fittings, however, the property itself is not available for sale and is currently rented at a cost of £650 per calendar month.

The deli takeaway, which was known for its bustling activity and strong customer base, opened in October 2022, and, after proving popular with locals, was named Best New Business in Renfrewshire at the Scotland Business Awards last May.

On April 19 its owners announced its closure with a message on social media, which said: “Thank you to all the loyal customers over the few years. We are now closed sadly.”

The announcement prompted a deluge of comments from customers praising the establishment and saying how sorely it would be missed.

Last month, a more recent post by the owners stated: “Hi all. Update: Our business is now on the market for sale. Watch this space for new owners.”

The deli business is being marketed by Clydebank Estate and Letting agents, who described it as the perfect opportunity to walk into a “ready-made, well-established business.”

To the rear there is a kitchen area which has been fitted with all new fixtures and fittings required to run a busy catering business.

In addition, there is a bathroom, a public-facing serving area with ample counter space and coffee making facilities.

The premises are fully licenced for the preparation and sale of hot food with class 3 certification.

There is also a small outdoor space with picnic table for customer use.

According to the agents, one of the “standout features” of this property is its location in a vibrant area, which "ensures a steady flow of customers throughout the day.”
