A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital following a crash involving a car and bus in Glasgow. 

Emergency services were called to Barrhead Road at around 7.45pm on Friday, May 31 following reports of the two-vehicle crash. 

The 63-year-old driver of the car was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. 

Her condition is not known.

Three passengers from the bus were also treated by paramedics for minor injuries. 

Police said an investigation into the crash remains ongoing. 

Barrhead Road was closed following the collision until around 9.30pm. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.45pm on Friday, 31 May, 2024 officers received reports of a two-vehicle crash involving a car and a bus on Barrhead Road, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and the driver of the car, a 63-year-old woman, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance.

"Three passengers from the bus were treated by paramedics for minor injuries.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
