A luxury hotel near Glasgow has revealed plans to build 30 woodland lodges.
Mar Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort in Bishopton wants to construct one, two and four-bedroom lodges in its 240-acre estate as part of a wider £15m project to renovate the site.
Offering stunning views across the River Clyde, the Kilpatrick hills and beyond, each lodge will have its own private terrace with hot tubs.
Inside guests will find a super king bed, dressing area, ensuite, lounge and log burner.
For explorers, each lodge has its own set of bicycles, while those wishing to unwind can do so in the hotel's newly refurbished pool and spa facilities.

Those entertaining in larger groups can take enjoy the locally-inspired dishes created by executive chef Tony Tapia either in the resort's restaurants and bars or in the comfort of their own lodge.
The new lodges add a further 59 bedrooms to the resort’s current key count of 70 and would accommodate large corporate and international group bookings, as well as those seeking accommodation for larger events and wedding parties.
It comes amid ongoing works to reposition Mar Hall as one of the most luxurious resorts in the country.
We previously reported that the newly refurbished leisure suite was unveiled including a state-of-the-art gym, alongside a 20-metre swimming pool with saunas, steam rooms, relaxation space, and an outdoor thermal suite.
The five-star hotel had been saved with the investment from the Dubai-based Dutco Group after falling into administration in August 2023.

Mar Hall's general manager Joe Gallacher said: “We are on an exciting journey of transformation across the Resort to materialise its luxury potential.
"We’ve already completed significant improvements which our guests and members have experienced first-hand in recent months, and it’s fantastic to progress the next stage of our redevelopment by submitting the planning as part of our ambitious vision for the resort.”
The planning application has been submitted to Renfrewshire Council with work planned to start immediately upon approval.
