UPDATE: Police probe 'unexplained' death of man after 'concern for person' call


A SECTION of road in Glasgow has been closed after police were called to the city's West End due to "concern for a person". 

Cops were called to Byres Road at around 6.50am this morning after they were made aware of concern for a person. 

The road is currently closed at its junction with Dumbarton Road, while Dumbarton Road is taped off between Gallus and the Kelvinhall subway station.

And eyewitness told the Glasgow Times they saw two forensics officers at the scene.

Police said enquiries are ongoing but did not reveal any further information about the nature of the incident at this time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of concern for a person on Byres Road in Glasgow shortly after 6.50am on Saturday, June 8.

"Enquiries are ongoing and the road is currently closed at the junction with Dumbarton Road."
