A new day care centre for dogs could open in Kirkintilloch if councillors allow a change of use at the premises.
The site for the proposed business is currently a storage yard in Broomhill Industrial Estate near Kilsyth Road, but East Dunbartonshire Council has received a planning application requesting permission to repurpose it.
The application was submitted based on advice received by the applicant and there are presently portacabins on the premises, as well as ten parking spaces which would not be affected by the change.
Plans submitted alongside the application show that the proposed centre would feature a reception area, pet grooming facilities, a dog pool and a covered observation area.
For further information or to comment on this application, visit East Dunbartonshire Council’s website and search for planning reference TP/ED/24/0315.
