A TEENAGER is due to appear in court following an alleged assault at a supermarket in Renfrew.
Cops were called to Paisley Road at around 6.45pm yesterday following a report of an assault at a premises.
The alleged incident is understood to have happened at the Co-op store.
Police confirmed a 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged in connection.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, June 10.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.45pm on Friday, June 7, 2024, officers received a report of an assault at a premises on Paisley Road, Renfrew.
"A 17-year-old male youth has been arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, June 10, 2024."
