Fire crews have issued a warning to residents after a huge landfill blaze.

Emergency services are still on the scene today at Meikle Drumgrae Road in Airdrie, after the site went on fire yesterday.

Now mercy teams are asking residents who live nearby to keep their doors and windows shut to avoid smoke damage.

It comes as neighbours have reported still smelling strong burning fumes, more than 24 hours after the fire started.
