ARMED police swooped on a street in Glasgow's East End after reports of a 'man with a weapon'.
Officers responded to the Bathgate Street area of Dennistoun after the alarm was raised at around 8.30am on Tuesday.
Cops say they were called to a report of a 'disturbance' and a 'man believed to be in possession of a weapon'.
It is understood that armed officers were deployed as a precaution.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called to a report of a disturbance and man believed to be in possession of a weapon in the Bathgate Street area of Glasgow around 8.30am on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
