A MAN is in hospital with injuries after being attacked.
Police received reports of a serious assault on Steven Street in Alexandria at around 11.15pm on Sunday, June 30.
A 37-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection and released pending further enquiries.
Kieran Bewick, detective sergeant, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are keen to speak to anyone in the area at the time who can assist.
“As part of our investigation we are also asking anyone with private CCTV that could help to get in touch and if you were driving in the area then please check your dash-cam to see if there is anything that could assist officers.”
